Hutchinson Correctional Facility resident dies Friday

HUTCHINSON, Kan. (WIBW) - Hutchinson Correctional Facility (HCF) resident Adan Morales Jr., 54, died Friday, July 18.

According to a press release from the State of Kansas, Morales was found unresponsive in his cell on July 1, 2025.

Staff began life-saving measures immediately and continued after emergency medical services arrived.

He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died. The cause of death is pending the results of an independent autopsy.
